Best Friend Forever is the dating simulator dog lovers need in their lives. Best Friend Forever is the first dating simulator of its kind, combining pet care and dating. Players are introduced to Rainbow Bay where pets outnumber their owners. Players will meet a diverse cast of local singles (each has their own unique canine companion) to mingle with and perhaps even find love and new friendships.

Love is Diverse
Like many dating simulators before it Best Friend Forever, lets players interact with multiple potential matches. Best Friend Forever stands out, because not only can you as a player be who you want to be, the characters are all great representations of real people. There is a ton of representation in the game with love interests, from characters that could identify as LGBTQ+ to characters with disabilities and different ethnicities. The level of inclusion is amazing to see, and hopefully, more games in the genre will follow the example.
Friendship > Romance
Besides finding romance, the relationship players develop with their furry friends is the game’s priority. When we think of dating simulators, there is usually some form of relationship stats and objectives for each love interest. Best Friend Forever has that mechanic, however, it’s used to illustrate the friendship between you and your dog. Objectives are centered around caring for your pet, and it’s a breath of fresh air in the genre.
The dogs are not props they’re the focus of the game. You spend time grooming and going on adventures with your dog. Yes, you get to talk with each of the love interests, but even during those moments of dialogue, you have to care for your dog to keep them happy and healthy.
You’ll Ruff It!
Overall Best Friend Forever, is an amazing and inclusive dating simulator. Each character whether human or canine stands out and shines in their own way. The bright scenery design and pun-filled humor make playing through the game a relaxing experience. Each dog that is available for adoption by the player comes with their own backstory, which makes you fall in love with them instantly. It may even make you want to adopt your own furry friend. If you’re a fan of dating simulators and pet care simulators this is the game for you.
