OVERVIEW

In Glyde The Dragon players become a dragon and must figure out the cause of a mysterious corruption. They will do this by accessing eight different elemental forms with more than sixty different abilities! The Glyde The Dragon demo gives players a chance to explore some of the game’s world, try out forms, and battle undead enemies.

Gameplay in the Glyde The Dragon Demo

The controls in the Glyde The Dragon demo are easy to get used to. I was able to wander around and defeat enemies easily. The combat in the demo was quick and there was a good selection of enemies to face off against. Traversal around the map was also manageable.

In Glyde The Dragon the companion that travels with Glyde collects crystals as players approach them. This was a great thing to find out because I did not have to worry about missing a crystal when in the middle of combat or traversing the map. This is also helpful when swimming without a water form.

Speaking of forms, switching between forms was mostly seamless. This was great in tricky combat encounters, with a lot of enemies.

Art & Music in Glyde The Dragon

The character designs in Glyde The Dragon demo are really cool. The dragons present in the demo each look unique, and stand out from one another. Even the dragons that have the same element, have differences in their horns and companions. The world is vibrant and bright. It reminds me of playing Spyro games growing up. The music is also fun and feels like you’re going on an epic adventure, which is fitting.

Final Thoughts on the Glyde The Dragon Demo

Overall the Glyde The Dragon demo was a lot of fun and had great retro easter eggs. The dragon designs are unique and the NPCs have a lot of personality. Combat was fast-paced and having a companion to gather crystals helps in tough encounters. If you are a dragon fan, and like going on epic adventures, I suggest checking out the Glyde The Dragon demo, while it is available.
