OVERVIEW

Islands & Trains invites players to relax and build tiny islands for miniature trains to drive around.

Thoughts on the Islands & Trains Demo

In the Islands & Trains demo, players can create cozy little islands and watch as an equally tiny train drives through their creations. The demo has a lot of space for players to build one giant island or several smaller islands.

Building an island is easy, and can be done with the click of a button. There are also plenty of buildings and terrain options to choose from in the Islands & Trains demo. Players can also toggle the weather between spring, autumn, and a rainy season.

The Islands & Trains demo was easy to jump into and out of, the game autosaves, so you can pick back up where you left off. Since there are no timers or goals players need to achieve, a play session can be as short or as long as a player needs. This made it very accessible while multitasking, so I can give it the “ChromaGlitch Gaming While Parenting” seal of approval.

Final Thoughts on the Islands & Trains Demo

The Islands & Trains demo is fun and hits all of the cozy gamer notes players could want. The gameplay is easy to pick up, and overall Islands & Trains is extremely low stress. If you enjoy games such as Townscaper, Islanders, and Dorfromantik, you should definitely give the Islands & Trains demo a try. The demo is currently available on Steam.
