Thoughts on Cafe Paris

Cafe Paris is an endless coffee shop simulator, where players will run a coffee shop beneath the Eiffel Tower. The gameplay in Cafe Paris is straightforward, players must fill each customer’s order of a pastry and beverage. As customers wait for their orders to be filled players can start conversations with them to learn more about their stories.
There are three pastries and beverage options customers will order from. While waiting for beverages to pour players can attempt to strike up conversations with customers in line and at the cafe. While conversing with customers is the game’s main progression type, I ran into a bug that only let me have detailed conversations with one customer. Eventually that customer disappeared and the only conversation options were saying hello.
As far as accessibility goes, there is currently no option to save progress, so if players leave the cafe the game ends. This also means players would start at 0 customers served again. This can make Cafe Paris a bit more difficult to pick up for players who need to take breaks and step away from the game for various reasons.
Playing through Cafe Paris can be fast-paced, however, players who enjoy more hands-on management sims may find the limited activity options repetitive. Players with an interest in more relaxed gameplay with fewer tasks may enjoy having fewer tasks to complete. Overall Cafe Paris does have a few bugs that make narrative progression difficult, however, once those bugs are addressed it has the foundation of a great cafe simulator.
