Kokoro Kitchen Overview & Demo Experience

In Kokoro Kitchen, players will help a poultry-geist restore a Japanese-style restaurant for spirits, while trying to regain some of their memories. Each day, players can change which menu items are available to customers before opening the restaurant.

In addition to cooking, players will need to take care of cows, chickens, and various crops to ensure their restaurant has the freshest ingredients. Kokoro Kitchen players will also find various food prep mini-games as they unlock more complex recipes.

While players can have a lot more control over what customers can get at their restaurant, they will need to meet certain customers’ specific expectations to uncover more secrets about the restaurant’s past. These customers will also sometimes provide players with upgrade points and other useful items for the restaurant.

In the Kokoro Kitchen demo, players will experience five days of restaurant life. The demo gives players a brief tutorial showing them how to add recipes to their menu, how to gather ingredients, and how to unlock upgrades.

After the tutorial, players then begin operating the restaurant on their own. While the demo only lets players make three of the easier recipes in the recipe book, the recipes do an excellent job of showing players the pacing they can expect from the game. The Kokoro Kitchen demo is very brief, and players can expect to complete it within forty minutes.
