To make the base of the stables, make a 20×5 stone rectangle level with the grass. In this tutorial, the base is made of birch and stone blocks to show how to divide the space.

Next, begin adding the walls around the stables by starting with 14 stone blocks on each stall corner, and 4 barrels or chests as the back wall of the larger storage space. Then build up a layer using 7 stone walls on the front wall and 7 more stone blocks on the back wall.

Now, to start filling in the walls of the stable, use 7 wooden fence posts placed on top of the front “pillars” and then add a set of three wooden gates on each of the horse stalls to close them. Fill in the rest of the wall spaces using 30 stone blocks. On top of those, add matching stone walls to keep the horses inside their respective stall in the stable.
On the back walls, place 7 stone walls with wooden fences on top to make pillars to support the back of the roof. Then fill in the back wall with matching wood fences, so you can see into the stables from the back, and also as pillars for the roof.

For the roof, create a step pattern going towards the back of the stable using wooden slabs and logs. The roof will require 71 wooden slabs and 39 matching logs.
The final step is to add horses to the stable and decorate the space. You can decorate your stable to match the type of horses you will keep inside them.
