Gameplay in the Caravan SandWitch Demo

The gameplay in the Caravan SandWitch demo was fun. I did run into a few bugs, that shut down the game for me, but it is a demo and I expect that to happen now and again.

One thing I appreciate in open-world and sandbox games is when I am not forced to hold someone’s hand. In Caravan SandWitch I could explore ruins and other areas before picking up quests relating to those areas. NPCs also react in different ways to your actions depending on if you pick up their quest first or just happen to help them.

The first time I found a robot and immediately “borrowed” something from their collection without permission and they rightful did not like that. The second time I went through that area, I spoke with them first and completed the quest. They offered the item to me and remained friendly.

The radiant quests in Caravan SandWitch are also done in a fun way, that stays on theme. NPCs will send “text messages” to the player character (who also responds in text). It was just a fresh take on being assigned other quests.

Going off of the demo, the world of Caravan SandWitch looks amazing. The world felt huge, and there were many areas to explore. The art style is easy on my eyes and overall captures that Sci-Fi aesthetic without becoming dark and depressing. The music in Caravan SandWitch is relaxing and fits the mood.

Final Thoughts on the Caravan SandWitch Demo

Overall the Caravan SandWitch demo was fun. I was not able to get too far into it due to technical bugs, however, from what I was able to see I am hopeful. The music is phenomenal and the world felt huge. Check out the Caravan SandWitch demo, if you like sci-fi games you may enjoy it.
